Katie is bored?

Well, I just received a text from Kate in her Graphic Design class telling me that I need to update so that she has something to look at. So I decided to take a break from (to mom and dad) my hard work and constant studying/ (to jake, kate, and anyone else who views) to take a break from Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.

Tonight we get to play New Paltz, a team out of New York. It will be non-conference so it really won't mean anything for us other than a possible confidence booster. I'm finally playing again however, so any chance to kick some ass is well worth it. It will also be nice to see mom and dad again because this momma's boy hasn't had his share lately.

Then this weekend we have New Haven coming to our house for the "Alumni" match. Meaning that around 35-40 guys that came to ESU to play volleyball before us will be telling us how much better volleyball was in their day during the match. Followed by renting a pub in Stroudsburg out and getting wasted together. It should be a good time.

This is a screenshot from the game I've been playing, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It really is the coolest game I have ever played. It has been a long time since I played a game that really brought me in and made me want to keep playing. I love the feeling like you just can't put something down. Another example would have been when I was reading Harry Potter.

Yes, I am a nerd. This game is the not the definition of geek, but it comes very close. In words that only some will understand, I created a Breton Spellsword, that specializes in pretty much what you see here. Heavy Armor, Magic, and a good old Sword and Shield. In fact, this guy kind of looks like mine, same armor and hair, just a different face.

I hope whoever reads this is please, and it entertains them when I know they're so bored :).

Unbeknownst to most historians, Einstein started down the road of professional basketball before an ankle injury diverted him to science

My ankle is almost fully recovered. That is, I can walk on it and its not the color of barney from heel to toe. Maybe I'll be able to play this weekend, and maybe not.

In any case, we've beaten Springfield for the second time. This improve our overall record to 9-4 and our record in the Hay Division is now 5-0. If we stay on track and continue winning games, we have the chance to clinch the conference by April 1st, which also happens to be alumni weekend.

Mom and Dad continued their adventure of traveling to volleyball games by making the six hour trek to Massachusetts. All that traveling to watch their son sit the bench? Actually, it was Dr. Seuss' birthday, which was added incentive to make the trip. I wish I could have joined them in the festivities. Love from the whole team goes out to them for their support.

This weekend: Stevens Tech (Non-Conference) on friday, and Harvard (Conference) on saturday. Hopefully the week will end with two more wins.

ESU Volleyball

So we're 4-0, 8-4 overall, and 5-0 on our home turf. The teams really coming together and we're making a good run to move into the Tait division for next year. This meaning that we'll play teams such as Penn State and George Mason, which make me happy in pants.

We head to Massachusetts this saturday to play Springfield College a second time. The first time we met them at home we won 3-1. Its another conference match, so we won't be happy coming home with anything but a win.

I will however be sitting out because I'm a badass and sprained my ankle. Only badasses sprain their ankle, if you have any other opinion on it you are wrong. Hopefully I'll be able to start practicing again next week, but we'll see how I progress.

In any case, wish us luck.

I always wanted to be a writer...

Until it was time to write something down, then laziness always seemed to overcome my desire and I revert back to being a bum.
